Social Media Specialist Volunteer
The Palm Beach International Film Festival is a non-profit 501(c)(3) This is a non-paying, Volunteer position.
The Social Media Volunteer is responsible for the coordination of consumer, customer, and business engagement efforts across social media for the Palm Beach International Film Festival. The Social Media Volunteer seeks to ensure that the content and conversations taking place in our online communities reflect the individual brand voice, as well as our collective film festival culture. The Social Media Volunteer will be responsible for monitoring conversations and managing replies, content planning, and day-to-day management of our social support channels. This role will work closely with internal donor and membership, corporate partnership, press, marketing and communications departments and outsourced teams on campaigns, product launches, and business-critical marketing projects.
This is a volunteer position that could in the future evolve into something else. Roles & Responsibilities
- Leverage social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.) to communicate brand stories
- Lead in the development of social media strategies and tactics, including; brand building initiatives, paid advertising, influencer programs, channel budget, best practices to accelerate performance and identify new opportunities
- Manage multiple B2C and B2B social media accounts for multiple global brands with specific brand voice consistency
- Develop TikTok strategy for our B2C brands and launch brands on the social media platform
- Guide agency partners to develop compelling copy and schedule content calendars while identifying appropriate timelines for posting and engaging tailored to each brand’s audience
- Execute community strategy and oversee crisis management responses to comments and customer queries in a timely manner following standardized protocol
- Conduct social listening and monitoring of the brand and competition
- Analyze KPIs, competitive research, social trends, and data analysis to understand how to make improvements to future campaigns and optimize ongoing campaigns
- Work closely with external influencer agencies to set brand expectations, obtain content, and report results
- Attend events, photoshoots, and more to capture live and static content for digital platforms as needed and as able. Images can be provided for remote candidates

- Experience in social media management and paid social campaign experience with focus on Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, LinkedIn, TikTok etc.
- Experience with social media management and listening software such as Sprout Social, Hootsuite, or equivalent platforms
- Experience with building a strong social media community
- Knowledge of Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Guidelines regarding influencer partnerships and social media disclosures
- Strong attention to detail while being able to multitask
- Strong interpersonal, organization, and written and oral communication capabilities
- Ability to think creatively and take initiative to improve or create effective processes
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable while working in a fast-paced environment
